And Now For Something Completely Different

Poem: A Lesson On English

It's hard to make a poem rhyme
when you don't pronounce the "B" in climb.
The indicators are that I'm
simply running out of thyme.

Blank verse is easier, they say.
Rhyming verse is so passe
and meter patterns are blase
but I will use them if I may.

Now back to my first point, I'm sure
forced rhymes make meaning seem obscure
but sometimes we all must endure
to make a poet's day -- for sure.

If you're still with me after this
I shall reward you with a kiss.
It seems olf fashioned but can;t miss
delivering obnoxious bliss!
